…Makes Me Happy #3

September 21st, 2010

Tonight my list is made up of The Little Things…

1.  The way I can tell every time Ant has been smelling his fresh baked bread.  He walks around with a bit of flour on his nose until I mention how cute it is.

2.  The way Ella exclaims, “Aw, come on!” at just the right times, with just the right hint of disappointment in her tone.

3.  Tomorrow is the first day of Fall and we are going to celebrate with a Pumpkin Spice Latte first thing.  Then I will ceremoniously hang our Autumn wreath on the front door.  And maybe welcome a rain shower?

4.  Taking Ella to the Disney Store today and watching all of her excitement and exclamations of “Ooh, Snow White!” and  “Cindy Ella!!”

6.  Being reminded that it is the absolute most simple things that make life so wonderful.

7.  Being reminded of all the joys of being a little person.  Realizing I am blessed to experience everything a second time through her.

8.  The promise of a real backyard for playing and grass for rolling in the near future.

9.  Watching the baby within punch around until she is just rightly situated.

10.  The feeling of accomplishment that has come with finally getting my shop in order.  Seeing all that I’ve worked toward for a long time finally organized and in one place feels so fantastic.

Good night!

Enjoy the first day of Fall!  It’s finally here!!

I think they would look darling in our new vintage hutch!

6.  This book of Ella Faye’s
This book coupled with our listening pleasure of late has led the little goose to exclaim, “Louis song!” every time she hears his voice.

7.  Ella’s new infatuation with Louis Armstrong

8.  Back to the Future
Watching it for the first time in my 26 years.  Conclusion showing: tonight in bed.  With cookies?

(And the preceding pot roast with farm vegetables and mashed potatoes!)
