Into Fall

Oh it is Fall. It’s FALL!

And although it certainly doesn’t feel like it on this hot Phoenix day, I know it’s here. And it’s cooler temperatures are just around the corner.

I’ve been yearning to wear my sweaters (how do I only have two?) and pull my boots back on this season. Until the temps drop though, I can at least dress in Autumn colors. Last week I noticed that the front of my closet is primarily rust colored. I tend to stash my new clothes in the front of my closet and it looks like I am drawn to rust and burnt orange these days.

A rundown of my closet/shopping habits I’ve come to discover:
Summertime = stripes
Autumn = rust

(Apparently.)

So this getup was an attempt to remix an outfit I’ve posted before. I folded the top of the dress inside itself, pulled it up above my hips, and belted the whole deal for a little security. The sleeves inside the skirt made for a bit of puffiness at my hips, but I like to think of it as some added womanly oomph. OOMPH, I say. I’ll take it where I can get it.
