Hello & a Happy Birthday!
October 4th, 2011

Hello friends! It’s been quiet around here lately. We arrived home late Sunday night from a trip to San Francisco to be with my big sister as she married her love. We had the best time and it was a joy to see her marry her Ben. She made the entire ceremony and reception beautiful and she was even more gorgeous as the bride. I can’t wait to share photos and a little recap of our stay, but for now I have another girl I want to gush about.
Our Ella Bella Bear is turning THREE today! I’m having a hard time believing this. I honestly can’t say where the three years have gone. How in the world do I have a three year old? And does this mean that Ant and I have been parents for three years? There is so much disbelief but enough memories and pride to prove this fact true. Our baby is three years old.
Ella Faye came into this world with her own plans, on her own time. After 21 and a half hours of labor, she finally made her appearance and the whole world Ant and I had created together instantly changed. In that moment it magically became sweeter, busier, more challenging, more fun, harder, and happier. So much happier. This little girl has brought so much joy to us since that day she landed in our arms.
She is witty, so witty, and so bright that she scares me. She picks up on so much more than I ever imagined a little person that size could grasp. She is extremely perceptive, stubborn, clever, and bold. She is sweet and sensitive, tender and a snuggler. Her soul is wise and her heart is so full. Her beauty is so strong inside that it shines through to her blue eyes, dimples, and round cheeks. She is the most exquisite thing I have ever seen and held.
She is SO MUCH. And I feel we can’t take any credit for it. It’s just Ella. It’s how she was made. I don’t know how something so amazing and full of beauty came from us, but I know I hold her tight and thank God for entrusting us with her every day.
She is our wonder of a girl.
Thank you, Ella Faye, for giving me the best three years of my life so far. You are my heart, my soul, my dancing shoes. My sun and moon and shining star.
“I am your dandelion, you are my first wish.”
I love you always and always.
Below are some several photos from the past year or so. Photos from her first year and a half aren’t on my computer, or rest assured there would be many many more!

We have a fun evening planned with our little, so I will be back in the next few days with some stories and photos of our busy week. And Happy October! We are so ready for this season, are you?!
