All Around Me…

It is a beautiful afternoon.

I see…leaves being tickled by the wind out my front window.

I touch…soft yarn as it slides through my fingers.

I hear…my baby’s swing gliding her into slumber, back and forth, back and forth. And Nat King Cole softly crooning alongside me.

I smell…the faint peach scent wafting up from my tea.

I taste…peach oolong tea that hits my tongue through a red striped straw.

This is what Summer afternoons are made of.

    I touch…my laptop as I search the internet for wedding shoes
    I hear… Milly eating her dinner in the other room
    I taste… salty and sweet trail mix. okay I only taste the m&ms I’m picking out of the trail mix :-)
    I smell… the endless love victoria’s secret lotion I just put on
