What I Wore…to Birthday Dinner

I got to celebrate my birthday with friends this past weekend! We went to dinner at one of our favorite spots, The Parlor. The building was once a beauty parlor and the restaurant has kept little touches of the salon here and there. On the walk to the restrooms you’ll find a vintage hair drying chair, and the bar is lined with old beauty parlor chairs.

I love the atmosphere and the food is delicious. You can never go wrong with wood-fired pizza and lately I’ve been loving one pasta dish in particular. They have zeppole and tiramisu. And the chocolate cake – oh no, the chocolate cake…

The walk into the restaurant is lined with a lush herb garden. For this non-gardener, it’s definitely something I’m in awe of every time we go. The patio of the restaurant is what I would love our back patio to materialize into someday. Ivy enveloping the mod block walls, string lights and candles creating the soft glow.

Friday night I had it all – the atmosphere, the cake, and the best company. This is what I wore…


I really love this dress. It’s so feminine and breezy and not something I would expect to find at the price I brought it home for. But like most of my clothing lately, it was pulled off the rack at Forever 21.

I realized recently that I don’t have many photos with friends at all. I am going to resolve to change that. So, a shot with friends and one with my love:

    You look so darling! I love your dress, and those Blowfish shoes! We I get back home to PHX Scott and I are definitely going to have to check out The Parlor! Some of our fav restaurants are: Liberty Market, St. Francis, Pita Jungle, Cibo, etc!

    Thanks Chelsea! We love us some Pita Jungle over here. We just tried St. Francis for the first time on our anniversary and I can’t wait to go back. Definitely one of my new favorites!

    I’m falling in love with those shoes. Each time I see a photo with them I swoon more and more. Now that your hairstyle matches mine, man oh man can I see why people ask if we’re sisters! I’m always flattered by that :)
