Over the Weekend
May 16th, 2011

Good Monday afternoon, all! How was your weekend?
Our was pretty full. Full of good company and yummy food – that’s the best kind of weekend!
Friday night we went to dinner with Ant’s parents and grandma. His parents were in town from up north for the week and it was so nice to see them for days in a row. They live a few hours away and we miss them, but we’re grateful for visits we get to share with them. So they were here for a whole week and we got to spend lots of time together, eating out and shopping at our favorite, Target, where else.
So Friday we all piled in the car – first time our car has fit six, and it may have been a tad illegal! Haha. And we met Ant’s grandma at Pita Jungle for dinner. I love these people…

I’m so grateful I married them too.

A last minute ice cream stop and then it was home for books and bath time…Poppy talks to the camera
Ant and I ordered our home try-ons from Warby Parker so this week was full of dress up with our potential frames. I have glasses but haven’t put them on in years. I hate the frames I chose, and I’ve been denying the fact that I really do need glasses. My eyes have got to be worse now too. It’s been fun to wear these frames around and they’ve made me a bit more accepting of the fact that I really do need them (sometimes).

As of right now, I think these are our top picks!
Saturday we lounged around the house then finally packed up and went to the craft store. I picked out some new fabric to use in my plush line and I can’t wait to see how they turn out with it. Now it’s just about finding the time…
That night we went to dinner with our good friends Erin and Alex. We ate at The Parlor (one of our faves) and I’m still thinking about the pasta I had. Oh my. We hadn’t seen them in a few weeks and it was so nice to catch up. Ella loves them so and Poppy was finding Alex quite intriguing. Did you know I’ve known Erin since the day she was born?? Crazy, right? Thankful again…

Little Miss ‘Tude on her way to gobble donuts Sunday morning

Think these might be the ones? Of course they weren’t even from my box of try-ons. I stole a pair from Ant…
I wore them out of the house to see if people would look at me funny. Yes I am a little scared to wear glasses!

donut date

Ant put on one of his girls’ favorites for the drive home…

Sunday night – after jammies were on and littles in bed, it was time for baking.
Sometimes we eat cookies at midnight.
Thinking back over the weekend, I am realizing how many sweets we ate. But they were in moderation, except for maybe the donuts. Eep!
Last night we made a lot of progress on the blog redesign and I’m so excited about it! Hopefully sometime this week we can make it live!.
Hope your Monday’s been lovely! Here’s to a good week!
XoXo, Katy

I finally decided on the Sinclairs, which are the ones in the photos! And I think the Tenleys were my close second, haha! I still haven’t gotten a prescription but I am so anxious to order them!
