Hints of Spring!

March 1st, 2011

What a beautiful day today was!

I had a doctor’s appointment early this afternoon (boo) which meant I was forced to get showered and dressed (yay). When I returned home, Miss Ella Faye was just getting up from her nap and was ready to go out and use her most recent toy box discovery…sidewalk chalk!

72°, family time, happy girls. Yes, please!

Welcome back, Spring! We’re ready for you. (And stick around as long as you like. Summertime’s not the best of company around these parts. She’s got a dry, biting personality.)

Springtime means:

bare feet

tiny rompers

sand pails

sidewalk chalk

running through the grass

dinners on the patio

snuggling outside

And Ella exclaiming, “Oh gwass. I loff gwass!”

A little something cute: One of Ella’s favorite books to read is a thick version of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. The illustrations come straight from the film and of course she’s got the entire story memorized. She has the best commentary to go along with it. Lately when we get to the page where the prince appears, she points at him and says, “Prince hamsome, Daddy hamsome, Papa hamsome!”

Hamsome = handsome.

Here’s to lovely hints of Spring where you are!

Sweetest wishes, Katy
