Holiday Caps in Shop!
December 8th, 2010

((Holiday treat for readers below!))
Good morning, all!
I am finally beginning to feel festive, thank goodness! My mind has been so -everywhere else- lately, with the show, orders, baby appointments…I haven’t had the time I’ve wanted to realize we are already making our way into December and it is officially Christmastime!
This is absolutely my most favorite time of the year.

Last night we strung the colored lights on our tree and unpacked all our tree trimmings. This year Ella Faye helped decorate and it was so fun to see her reaction to all the little sparkly ornaments. After she was all snuggled into bed, I finished trimming the tree and brought out more little holiday trinkets to deck our halls. I think the Christmas spirit has finally hit our home. I took photos (Hipstamatic fashion, of course – my latest obsession), so I will share those coming soon!

Today though, in the spirit of getting in the spirit, I thought I’d do a proper post sharing our Huckleberry Faye Holiday Caps. I debuted them in the shop a couple of weeks ago and sold them at the craft show last weekend, but realized I had yet to mention them here.
So here they are! The first collection of Huckleberry Faye Holiday Caps! I am so excited about them. (And I say first collection because I already know what I want next year’s to look like!)
I’ve always loved those long stocking caps (cue Schwartz ala “A Christmas Story”) and I think that’s where these were headed, mixed with the Huckleberry styles I had already developed. Our threesome was on our way home from Ant’s parent’s house up in the mountains and my Christmas flare was in full effect for those three hours. We’d just packed up the car in freezing temperatures and set the heat to blow full blast at our chilled red noses. We had hot coffees, a sleeping little elf in the backseat, and Christmas streaming through the iPod. I was in my element!
Ant helped me figure out just how I wanted them to look, and that was that! I was making Christmas hats! So far they are just available in the 3 month to 3 year sizes, but my plans are pretty definite to expand those size ranges to youth and adult. We had several customers ask about adult sizes in all the caps last weekend, and honestly I don’t know why I wasn’t offering them in the first place. I guess my shop’s focus is on kids, but perhaps a “big kid” section is in the near future!
So there we go! I hope you will browse and find something suited for the little girl or boy in your life! Just in case you do, and just in the spirit of holiday cheer, feel free to use this coupon:
Cheers!! And Happy Holidays…let’s get things started!
Sweetest Wishes, Katy
