The Perfect Spot
October 27th, 2010

You know when you fluff up your pillow before getting into bed, and then you put your head down and it sinks into that familiar little cove from nights past, while the rest of your pillow slowly sinks into place around it?
Or when you sit on a bean bag chair, and you twist yourself this way and that to carve out the perfect mold for your shape?
There is a place in my womb that this child has fluffed up and smashed down and molded to her little heart’s content.
It is just to the right of my belly button.
Lately, every time she starts rolling and re-situating, she eventually falls into her cozy little nook just right of my belly button. And I lay my palm over it and there is her tiny rump. Or head.
She has made herself quite at home. And I couldn’t be happier to play host.
