Sunday Best
September 26th, 2010
Earlier in the week I had heard that pumpkin donuts exist. I don’t clearly remember where I picked up this bit of information or how many times I continued to hear it throughout the week. It may have just replayed in my mind several times a day.
“Pumpkin donut.”
“Pumpkin donut?”
“Pumpkin donut.”
This morning I conquered that donut and it was delectable.
Ella Faye thought her pumpkin donut was delicious too. Although she wasn’t eating a pumpkin donut. She was enjoying a Boppy Boo donut. So much better than mine, I’ll bet.

We whizzed through the drive-thru on our way to Ikea for some last minute birthday item pickups. I didn’t even take a list. I knew my pregnant brain could handle remembering three little things.
Accidental photo.
(Those buns are for. my. parents. NOT. for me…)
We came home with so much more than those three things. Of course.
Ella Faye was so patient in Ikea. She tried out a few big girl beds and we picked out the one we’ll need to be purchasing shortly.
She pretended she was Goldilocks, trying out every chair in the kids seating department. She found just-the-right-one and Mommy and Daddy hauled it home. (Hoping it remains just-the-right-one once it’s out of the box.)

Fancy glasses for serving friends. Cheers!
Home for lunch and naps, then we trekked across the street for chile rellenos.
Green chiles straight from the farm, roasted, stuffed, battered, and fried at home.
Mmmm, the best.
I was hoping they’d clear my nasal passages…not so much, but they were delicious.
Sunday, beautiful Sunday. Days like you are the best.
