22 Weeks

September 9th, 2010

Happy end of the week! I am so glad this one is coming to a close.  The long weekend was nice, but Monday pushed it for me.  I don’t know why, it just wasn’t a good day.  Tuesday picked up, Wednesday swooped back down, but today was very nice.  Ella and I went to storytime and ran to Target to pick up a few things (new comfy lady things, ahem, thank goodness).

Tonight I got a major craving for pepperoni pizza.  The topping I’ve been averse to for years, and it hit me as the most appealing thing this afternoon.  So we had a pizza picnic on the living room floor.  Seems like a good enough way to kick off the weekend, yes?

I am really seeing my energy pick up overall.  Some days are still hard and I feel exhausted, but others (like today) I am up early and raring to go.  I am learning to take advantage of those energy-full days.

The baby is still kicking around like crazy and this week she’s taken a liking to aiming for my nether regions.  I will just be sitting (or standing, and then it’s worse), minding my own business and then I will feel the sharpest little punch right !there! Or against my !bladder! This is where it gets fun for her I guess.

I love this outfit like crazy!  Can I say that?  It’s just that it’s so comfortable and those kinds of outfits are hard to come by these days.  I wore this out to dinner with friends on Saturday night and then out to church on Sunday too.  The baby definitely pops through in this skirt and someone from church finally asked me if we are expecting.  I’ve been worried everyone just thinks I had a really big breakfast.  I guess people don’t want to make a conclusion and end up saying the terribly wrong thing.  The other day I was shopping with a friend and the checkout girl asked me how many months along I am.  I didn’t quite hear her so I asked her to repeat the question and her voice got so small, “How?  Many?  Months?  Are?  Youuuu…?”  She thought she’d made that terrible mistake.

Lastly, the weather this morning was so wonderful!  Ant went out for a morning run and came back with chilly arms, exclaiming, “It’s cold outside!”  I smushed my face to the glass on the back door and it really was cold!  Alright!

My my.  This post is so disjointed and it doesn’t feel right to me but I am going to go ahead and post all these ramblings anyway.  There must be a reason it all came out like this…it resembles the type of week I’ve had.
