18 Weeks

What a week! We found out we are having another little girl, which makes two, which makes sisters, and that is something I am pretty fond of.

Last night while eating dinner, I pictured another little blonde-haired girl sitting at the end of the table next to Ella Faye.  I thought about how she will just eat up Ella with her eyes, the way Ella eats up any older child she comes into contact with.

Today I visited a sweet little one-month baby boy, and I pictured Ella patting her baby sister’s head and cooing.  ”Ohh ho ho, tute!” she might say.  (I also thought about how this baby boy is only six months older than our baby girl will be, and his mother and I may have mentioned marriage…maybe.)

Tonight I popped in on Ella’s bath while Daddy ran the water.  And I pictured her with that second little chubby girl sitting side by side, all sudsy in the tub.

I am already dreaming of bunk beds in a shared room.  (Leaving the second bedroom open for a playroom?  Or a third??)

I thought this was a party...LET’S DANCE!
